May 27, 2009, 9:49 AM — Why is everyone always saying such nice things about evolution? What has it ever done for us? While humans have singularly failed to evolve cool new features like wings or gills or extra heads, rats have been evolving quite nicely into new poison-resistant "super-rats." These terrifying death-rodents have been running rampant throughout the UK, where the rat population has tripled in just the past two years. It's good thing the place is an island, as that will make it easier to quarantine and bomb it so as to defeat the rat menace.
