Rogers Communications throttling World of Warcraft players

Some Canadian World of Warcraft players were feeling like their connections weren't quite up to snuff. Turns out it wasn't their imagination: Canadian ISP Rogers Communications admits it has been throttling the bandwidth of some WoW players.

World of Warcraft players had a bit of excitement this past weekend after David Perry, CEO and co-founder of Gaikai, posted an image of WoW running on an iPad. That doesn't mean we'll be raiding from the road any time soon.

Blizzard donates $1.1 million to the Make-A-Wish Foundation

Blizzard gave The Make-A-Wish Foundation 50% of proceeds from the sale of Pandaren Monk pets in World of Warcraft, adding up to a $1.1 million donation. Fifteen Foundation kids also got an inside look at WoW, courtesy of Blizzard.

Microsoft sues three for 'massive' click fraud scam

Microsoft filed a lawsuit on Monday against three people accusing them of running a "massive" click fraud scheme that involved harnessing hundreds of thousands of computer IP addresses to target advertisers promoting auto insurance and the World of Warcraft on-line game.
