BT teams with EMC and Dell for storage services
BT Ignite, the Internet services unit of BT Group PLC, is teaming with EMC Corp. and Dell Computer Corp. to offer networked storage services in the U.K., BT Ignite announced Thursday.
Branded BT Data Storage, the offerings target large corporations and range from information stored in a network at a customer's premises to completely outsourced storage management. BT will use its networking expertise to link up storage hardware supplied directly by EMC and through its reseller, Dell.
