Nokia earnings signal flatter future

Mobile phone giant Nokia posted poor second-quarter results and announced a pessimistic outlook for the near future. The company believes that a poor worldwide economy is going to keep consumers for paying for the flashy (and pricey) new services and gadgets that the mobile phone industry needs to sell to survive.
