Motorola unveils first Linux smartphone

With its flexibility and relatively small footprint, Linux has long been touted as a solution for embedded markets. Motorola is testing that idea in a big way by launching the first ever Linux-base smartphone (combination mobile phone and PDA). How will it stack up against offerings powered by Symbian OS and Microsoft's Pocket PC platform?
