December 26, 2012, 10:07 PM — LG is making a big bet on Google TV in 2013 by announcing Monday that it will offer seven models and five different screen sizes of HDTVs featuring the search giant's Web-meets-living-room platform.
The new sets will be part of the new GA6400 and GA7900 series of televisions and feature 42-, 47-, 50-, 55-, and 60-inch screen sizes (GA7900 will have 47- and 55-inch models only). The Korea-based electronics maker did not disclose pricing or availability, but will show off the Google TV-powered sets in January at CES 2013, which runs from January 8 through January 11 in Las Vegas.
