In a separate matter, Microsoft yesterday said it has released another patch that fixes a hole affecting Windows NT, Windows 2000 and its Systems Management Server (SMS) software. That vulnerability could allow attackers to gain control of affected servers by making use of unchecked buffers included with the protocol parsers in Microsoft's Netmon software, the company said.
