Ericsson is courting major banks with a security service the company thinks could cut down on credit card fraud as well as eliminate an inconvenience for travelers using cards overseas.
Sprint is looking to outsource the management of its mobile network to Swedish telecom vendor Ericsson, according to a Wall Street Journal report Monday. Discussions are entering the final stage and would result in 5,000 to 7,000 U.S. employees moving to Ericsson, according to the report.
