Accenture, Siebel team on public sector CRM
IT services and consulting firm Accenture Ltd. and software maker Siebel Systems Inc. have forged an alliance to target public-sector agencies worldwide, the companies said Monday.
Promising increased functionality, lower costs and faster time to market, the companies said they would offer and install Siebel's customer relationship management (CRM) software, playfully renamed "constituent relationship management" software.
The companies will target any public sector agencies, but have a focus on postal, tax and revenue management and entitlement program agencies, Accenture and Siebel said in a statement. Existing customers in the U.S. include the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation and the U.S. Department of Education, the companies said.
Siebel's software is designed to create a single source of information within an organization. That information can then be made accessible through multiple channels, including the Web and by telephone, according to Siebel and Accenture.
