4. Know where to look

Much of the information about competitors' activities, your client's price point,
or legislators' intended activities is available. CI experts visit corporate Web sites
to get the company directory and to review job postings for the skill sets the company
is using. The information you want is out there. "You just have to know where to look,"
Nolan says.
