Flat tire? Drive it in and we'll change your oil
This accounting software company uses a proprietary system to let customers log in and update their applications.
One day, software support pilot fish gets an e-mail from a support tech at the next level up:
"(Company name deleted) customers have been having several issues with getting updates. We have updated these issues and a patch is available. Have the customer log on to receive updates from us."
But how are these customers supposed to log in for the update, when getting updates is what's not working? the fish asks the tech.
"Don't worry," tech says. "The fix is for a different problem anyway."
