Tacos-for-life for a PlayStation 3
People have pushed and shoved for it, queued overnight in the rain for it and its been sold online at great profit. Now the Taco Bell fastfood chain is offering a "lifetime" of tacos in exchange for a PlayStation 3.
The company, which is a division of Yum! Brands Inc., said it will give US$12,500 in "Taco Bell Bucks" to anyone who will donate a PlayStation 3. The console will then be given by Taco Bell and its Taco Bell Foundation to the Stanton, California, teen center of the Boys & Girls Club.
The Taco Bell Bucks can be redeemed at participating Taco Bell locations for food. Just how long it would take to work through the credit depends on your appetite but at less than a dollar for a "seasoned beef crunchy taco" it's enough to keep you snacking for a long time.
Anyone interested in taking up the company's offer should send their name, e-mail address and phone number to tacobellnews@tacobell.com. The Taco Bell Bucks will be given to the first person to respond, based on the time the e-mail is received, and send in their PlayStation 3. The deadline is 6 p.m. on Dec. 1. The company didn't specify which of the two versions of the PlayStation 3 console is preferred.
