PS3 Facebook firmware confirmed on eve of Xbox Fall Update launch

Last night Sony confirmed the 'Facebook on PS3' rumors that have been circulating, but Sony doesn't intend to replace their browser with a dedicated Facebook viewing tool. The new firmware launch date is a vague 'coming soon' but it was a good marketing ploy to reveal this news just as Microsoft was rolling out its Fall Update (including Facebook integration) to all users.

Where Google Chrome security fails: the password
I heard mention that the Chrome OS will have some sort of encryption available a la bitlocker. If it's possible to encrypt personal data using another password or key, then it may have potential for very secure data.... And Ubuntu has an 'encrypt home directory' option, perhaps google should follow suit.
