  • Add spacers to the Dock in OS X on your Mac

    Here's how you can quickly add spacers to your Mac's Dock. Spacers will let you group similar apps on the Dock in an easy to see way. 1. Open a terminal window. 2. Type in the following command then hit Enter. defaults write com.apple.dock persistent-apps -array-add '{tile-data={}; tile-type="spacer-tile";}'
