  • Commented on Microsoft's Surface: just another Win 8 tablet or something special?

Great potential with this device. Digitizer pen input and keyboard cover will be two biggest kickers over the iPad...IMO. Still curious to see how this prices and how much of a dent Microsoft can make in the already Apple-monopolized tablet market.

  • Commented on IT skills: Jumping the chasm

Really good article here! I definitely agree with the authors' statements regarding the shift towards a "generalist" IT role. I saw this begin to happen not too long ago in a Fortune 50 IT department. While some companies see consolidation as a growing trend, others seem to take advantage of their existing employees' skill sets. This also allows for individuals to expand upon what they already know. If there's a time to get excited about technology it's now! It's going to be really interesting to see what happens to the industry over the next few years!
