Just open the browser and go to the top left "Firefox" tab > Add-ons in drop down menu > Beside "Java(TM) Platform" click disable. That's all there is too it.
It would be even better to go into the Java Console and disable it under the security tab, so that you don't have to worry about it if you, or anyone else, uses a different browser.
