What does it mean for Google that the head of Chrome OS is taking over Android?

It would be hard not to assume it suggests a tighter integration of Android and the Chrome OS down the road. This hardly could have been a random or casual decision, or an arbitrary management shuffle. And Google CEO Larry Page's explanation ("Andy’s decided it’s time to hand over the reins and start a new chapter at Google") is just nonsense. Also, if Rubin truly is "an entrepreneur at heart," as he claimed today, he'd go out and form another start-up, not simply work on a new project for a giant company like Google.
