Most likely it will mean a tighter integration, and perhaps in time total integration, of the Android OS and Chrome OS. Which makes sense - why develop and support two different OSes? Especially since Chrome OS will support touchscreen displays soon (or is that already implemented?), and tablet/smartphone hardware continues to improve, there seems little compelling reason. That's just my guess, obviously, but it seems logical.
