How important is a Klout score during a job search?


I went to an interview the other day and was asked about my Klout score. My what? I'm only slightly kidding, in that I've heard of Klout, but have no idea what my "score" is, or even what it actually indicates. Is this something that one should now expect to be asked about during job interviews? I was taken aback in this instance because I had been asked to come in and am not actively seeking a new position, but thought that I would go see what they had to offer. I felt like asking the interviewer, "you tell me, you asked me here."

I have no idea what mine is, nor do I care. But here's a link with some background who are wondering exactly what it is:

"Klout is a San Francisco-based company that provides social media analytics to measure a user's influence across her or his social network. The analysis is done on data taken from sites such as Twitter and Facebook and measures the size of a person's network, the content created, and how other people interact with that content.[2] The company has been subject to substantial criticism, both for its business model and its operating principle.[3]"

I guess the short answer is that it is only as important as the interviewer thinks it is.  If that is me, it is of zero importance, but opinions obviously differ.  Plus, I don't even see how it is a meaningful number if you are the type of person that values privacy and keeps things like your tweets and facebook posts private.

Klout is a new concept company engaged in caluculating your Social Networking activity, I think its not a relevant question for interviews, as social networking now a days is meaningless.
