How can I transfer my texting messages from my Samsung Galaxy

I would be transfering the texting messages from my Samsung Galaxy (original model) to the Samsung Note II. Thank you so much for any help you might provide.

There is a thread on xda developers on this topic with a couple of different options.  You might want to give it a read and see what they found worked best.  SMS Backup & Restore seemed to get some love.
