If I already have a Type Cover for a Surface Pro 2, will that work with a Surface Pro 3?

Some of the Surface Pro 3 devlopment team did an AMA on Reddit, and this was a question that came up. To quote the SurfaceTeam, "All Type and Touch Covers are compatable with the Surface Pro 3, including the PowerCover."  However, even though they didn't meantion it, it will not be a perfect fit because the dimensions of the Surface Pro 2 and 3 are different.
