I read a decent article about a month ago about mobile printing that included some of the pitfalls as well as the upsides.  Maybe it would be useful.

I suggest sitting down with the folks responsible for your print needs, and then go from there. Investigate relevant technologies, platforms and your available budget. Then itemize your list of needs, the steps you'll take to get there, and any potential road blocks.
