How to only listen to the audio portion of a music video on iPhone?

pcaulfield

How can I listen to the audio portion of a video I’ve downloaded from iTunes without having the video part actually playing? I’d rather not have the video playing while it’s in my pocket - I always seem to tap something by accident.

Start playing the video, then push the lock/power/sleep button on the top of your iPhone to lock the screen. The music will stop playing. Wake up your iPhone, then hit “Play” on the lock screen. Push the lock/power/sleep button again and the screen should go blank but the music should continue to play.
