What change would you most like to see for the iPhone 5?

ncharles

I'm not entirely happy with the pace that hardware replacement moves these days. It seems like as soon as I get something that I was really looking forward to, I start obsessing about the next generation of the device. iPhones being the most specific example.

On the other hand, it is fun riding the wave! There is always the feeling of, "Wow, this is great! Soooooo, what's next?"

I'm starting to ask that more and more as speculation/leaks increase about the iPhone 5. As always, I'm hoping for faster CPU, more battery life and increased internal storage, but that's pretty much expected. Improved Siri would be cool to me as well (Siri, wash the dishes!). What would most people like to see changed with the iPhone 5?

The main thing I would like to see is a bigger display.  It's a bit of a balancing act to maximize screen size without increasing overall device size to the point it becomes awkward to carry with you.  I'm thinking of the Galaxy Tab - great size when you are sitting at your desk, not so great when you try to put it in your pocket, unless you are still rocking the MC Hammer pants.

One other thing I would like to see is an easily removable/replaceable battery.  Not a huge deal, and I don't expect to see the change, but it would be nice.

I agree with the things you mentioned, I'd like to see them too.

However, I'm nervous about the iPhone 5's size. It seems that it will have a larger screen, but how comfortable will it be to hold and use? I like the way my iPhone 4 feels, it's very easy to use with one hand.

We'll have to wait and see, I guess. I wouldn't mind a larger screen, but not at the expense of being able to use my iPhone with one hand.
