When will the general public be able to buy the iPhone 6? Also, is there likely to be a less expensive "C" model?

The iPhone 6 announcement is supposed to be September 9, but I don't know if it will be available on that day or if it will be released a little while after that. We'll have to wait and see what Apple says at the announcement.

A release date of September 9, 2014 is pretty much universally accepted. This also fits with the typical Apple practice of release new models of the iPhone in September.

There almost certainly will not be a model "C" at launch. Apple generally releases the "C" or "S" models as a mid-cycle product line update between numerical models. Look for a iPhone 6C or iPhone 6S next year.
