What's going to happen to WebOS?

Now that HP has practically abandoned the TouchPad, what is going to happen to WebOS? I read that Microsoft was offering free Windows 7 phones to WebOS developers if they switched to Windows Phone 7 development, and over 500 people took them up on the offer. Will HP kill WebOS or sell it off? Who would buy it?

HP has decided to split the WebOS / TouchPad group into two, keeping the WebOS group and planning to sell off the hardware group with their consumer pc group. HP's current plan is to license WebOS, but I'm not sure how successful they will be if there are no products on the market. It's possible that they may get some interest from companies who produce Android tablets if they experience problems related to Google's acquisition of Motorola Mobile.
