What is OpenStack

In the words of rackspace, it is "...an open and scalable operating system for building public and private clouds." We can thank NASA for helping developing OpenStack, so raise your glass of Tang for a toast. The rackspace website has an excellent summary of OpenStack. http://www.rackspace.com/cloud/openstack/

With Bitcoin all the rage and startups popping up left and right, it's hard to know who's an expert in the virtual currency and who just has an opinion. Most people would put Jeff Garzik in the former camp.
It's not enough to offer the latest wireless standard. Make sure the router that will support your office is up to snuff.
Social media has been a boon for businesses small and large, but it's also becoming a minefield for those unable to manage the increasing complexities of the run-and-gun nature of the beast. On a seemingly daily basis, we suffer through one "Twitter disaster" or another. It's becoming so commonplace that "Twitter disaster" really doesn't deserve to be in quotes.

Bitcoin is not going away, the digital currency's developers say, and they're craving more technically savvy people to support its use.
More bumps in the road are probably in store for Bitcoin. The virtual currency has seen some massive swings in value over the last several weeks, but that volatility is not likely to end soon, its lead developer suggested on Saturday.

Here's a good background article about OpenStack.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenStack
"OpenStack is an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) cloud computing project started by Rackspace Cloud and NASA in 2010. Currently more than 150 companies have joined the project among which are AMD, Intel, Canonical, SUSE Linux, Red Hat, Cisco, Dell, HP, IBM and Yahoo!.[1][2][3][4] It is free open source software released under the terms of the Apache License. It is portable software, but is mostly developed and used on the Linux operating system.
OpenStack integrates code from NASA's Nebula platform as well as Rackspace's Cloud Files platform, and is included and released in both the Ubuntu [5] and Red Hat [6] Linux distributions."
