What’s the biggest announcement out of E3 2014?

I have been too busy with work to follow E3 closely this year. I’m bummed, because there are those occasional E3 moments that are truly memorable. Remember when Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was announced back in ‘06? I sure do, and I remember people actually weeping when that announcement trailer played. It was awesome. What are the biggest stories out of E3 so far? Has there been any anything really exciting announced?

I’m going to echo your question with my answer - Legend of Zelda Wii U (final title unknown). I don’t have a Wii U, but I might get one just for a new Zelda game. I just watched the game trailer, however, and to be honest I wasn’t blown away in the same way I was for Twilight Princess or Skyward Sword. Still, that’s like saying the latest Porsche wasn’t quite as exciting as the 2007 model...it’s still pretty awesome.

Other than that, I suppose Sony’s Playstation TV is somewhat interesting. I’m not sure that I entirely understand it, but from what I saw it lets you use it as a mirror for your PS4 so you can play all over your house with only one primary console. Kind of neat. If I had a Vita, it would be cool to play those titles on my big screen.

To be perfectly honest, this is not an E3 where I expect to see many truly amazing announcements. The PS4 and XBox One just debuted last year, and the Wii U the year before that. This is a year where developers start to show they have learned the new systems and showcase new titles, but there can only be so many stunning AAA game title reveals.
