How to get website to display properly in IE11?

ernard

I’m not an Internet Explorer user, but I have a guest in for the week who is. She is complaining about some websites not displaying properly on IE11. I took a look, and sure enough, on some sites there are images that don’t display properly and some jacked up text. I made sure everything was updated, but this is still an issue on some sites. I’m at work so I can’t check which specific sites are giving the issue, but does anyone have any suggestions as to what the issue might be?

If she can't get IE 11 to work for her, you might want to encourage her to give Firefox a shot. It might be a better option for her.

Some sites that she visits probably just aren’t fully compatible with IE11. You can turn on compatibility mode for her under the TOOLS button, then just click “Compatibility View Settings” and add the website that isn’t displaying properly. No promises, but this might help.
