How to save Snapchat images?

jhotz

I understand that Snapchat is supposed to be a way to exchange private photos that self-destruct after a short period of time. Key words = “supposed to be.” Can the images actually be saved without the sender’s permission?

"Snapchat is popular among the kind of people who do not understand how computers work and want to send each other naked pictures without consequences. Unfortunately for them, the modern world does not work that way. Especially since it appears Snapchat can’t even be bothered to cover its tracks when “deleting” photos.

In a revelation that’s likely going to get Snapchat pounded with lawsuits, it turns out that the app not only doesn’t delete the photos, finding them is shockingly pretty easy"

Whilst Snapchat is intended to be a secure method of communication of pictures, its not really designed that way. Once a user has downloaded an image it is possible to save it through screen capture or an alternative application such as a Snapchat PC app.
