PDF password remover suggestions

simsk08

A long time ago I had password-protected a PDF file with permission password. Now I want to make some changes to this PDF document but I cannot recall the password. Can anybody suggest a good and cheap pdf password remover software to remove pdf security? I don’t want to purchase pdf unlocker programs that cost $20-$30.
Please don’t suggest online PDF unlocking services like crackmypdf, pdfunlock as I don’t want to upload my sensitive PDF document over these third-party and unknown servers. Thanks in advance!

Hello,

http://mypdfsolutions.com/

This PDF password remover worked perfectly for me with a PDF file encrypted with 256-bit AES encryption. You can download the free trial version to evaluate this program. Hope it helps!

Thanks, it actually works. I have successfully removed password from my PDF file.

There are free options out there, but I can't give a knowledgeable recommendation as to which is good and which is not because I haven't personally tried any of the freeware options. You could always give one of the pay ones a try during the free trial period.

Most of the Online pdf password remover solutions are crap. If you have a PDF file larger than 5-10 MB they ask money to decrypt it and also only a fool will use these services to unlock his/her confidential PDF documents.

7 Free PDF Password Remover Tools
http://pcsupport.about.com/od/toolsofthetrade/tp/pdf-password-remover.htm

"A PDF password remover (also called a PDF password cracker, password reset, or password recovery tool, depending on its ability) is a program that can be used to either find, remove, or bypass the security on a PDF file that prevents you from opening, printing, or changing the PDF file.

Most PDF password cracker tools fall in to one or more of three major categories: tools that recover the PDF user password, tools that recover the PDF owner password, and tools that remove the PDF owner password allowing full access to the PDF file.

The majority of PDF password remover tools cost money but there are also plenty of free PDF password removal, recovery, and cracking programs and the best of them are listed below:

Note: An individual PDF password removal tool might only support the cracking or removing of a password if it's of a certain kind, for a certain security level, encrypting a certain version of PDF, or may even have other restrictions. I'll call out any of those known limits below.

Important: In most countries, the only legal use of PDF password crackers is to break the security on a PDF file that you have the permission to do so on, like a PDF you encrypted but forgot the password to."

Hi jimlynchThank you for the reply. But as I have mentioned I’m not very much interested to use these free online services. And, the other PDF password remover programs (desktop utilities) suggested in above article did not work for me. My PDF file is protected with 256bit AES encryption and I’m still struggling.

PDF Password Remover is designed to remove the password and restrictions (Owner Password) of PDF files. Right-click the PDF file, select Decrypt with PDF Password Remover from the shortcut menu, the restrictions will be removed in seconds. It is easy for you to copy, edit or print the PDF files after decryption.

PDF Password Removeris a Cost-effective utility to remove pdf password restrictions.

http://www.windows7password.net/go/pdf/It is a small and easy-to-use tool to decrypt protected Adobe Acrobat PDF files, which have “owner” password set, preventing the file from editing, changing, printing, selecting text and graphics and copying them into the Clipboard, or adding/changing annotations and form fields.  Also It can remove the user/open password which protects the PDF files from opening if you know the password. Decryption is being done instantly. Decrypted files can be opened in any PDF viewer without any restrictions.
