Is there a way to "fix" the audio in Skype?

One of my favorite podcasters whistles when he speaks. Is there any way for him to filter out the offending frequency in Skype?

While there are innumerable plugins for Skype, most of them are for presenting whiteboards, managing contacts, recording calls, or are frivolous. To my knowledge, there are no audio plugins for changing or enhancing the audio quality.
