desk top icon and downloads icon gone from libraries! WINDOWS 7

Hello there!

I use tumblr alot and as I was about to upload a file, my downloads folder was gone from my library. now my desk top icon is also gone from my library. I can even acess my desktop If I wanted to open somthing from the Word application. It was fine one day, now I cant search or acess my two folders in the library. HELP ME!

Could you just do a system restore to a point in time before the problems occurred?
