Find special characters in Google Drive by drawing them

A neat way to add special characters or symbols to your documents

Ever wanted to insert a special symbol or shape into your document or presentation but had a hard time finding it? Google Drive has this nifty feature that lets you just draw to search.

All you have to do, as the Google Drive Google+ post suggests, is click the Insert menu, select Special characters, and start drawing the non-Latin character, shape, arrow, or other graphical element, like a smiley face:

It works with your mouse or, even better, a touch-optimized device. You don't have to draw the symbol perfectly, though.

This is perfect for foreign language characters and those other special characters you don't want to dig through the hundreds of choices to find.
