Next week (on the 9th, specifically) Bungie's new game, Destiny, launches for Playstation 4, Xbox One, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. This is something of an Event in the world of gaming. Bungie is the developer that created Microsoft's wildly popular Halo franchise, and Destiny is their first game since parting ways with Microsoft and going multi-platform.

It's not often that a game release gets noticed outside the world of gaming but Destiny seems to be attracting a lot of attention. For instance, Newsweek published a special edition devoted to it. And now Bungie has put Google's 'Street View' technology to work in order to give future players a glimpse into the worlds of Destiny. This is causing a lot of coverage outside of traditional gaming media.

If the trailer has piqued your interest you can head over to http://www.destinyplanetview.com and start exploring on your own.

Anyone else out there picking up Destiny at launch? I'm a big enough geek that I actually took Tuesday off to play!
