Use root or administrator access from within Nautilus in Ubuntu 14.04

Here's how you can add the option to open files or folders in Nautilus as root or administrator in Ubuntu 14.04.

1. Open a terminal window.

2. Type in the following commands then hit Enter after each.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:noobslab/apps

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install open-as-administrator

3. Type this command to restart Nautilus.

nautilus -q

According to Noobs Lab:

Most users like to open files/folders as root directly from nautilus to do something with file-system. Now you can easily add this option in your nautilus/file-manager with just few commands. It will add entry to the context menu where you can easily access it with just one click.
