Add the GNOME Do application launcher to your Linux Mint 16 computer


Here's how you can install the GNOME Do application launcher in Linux Mint 16. You can use GNOME Do to search for items, and you can also specify actions to perform on your search results.

1. Open a terminal window.

2. Type in the following command then hit Enter.

sudo apt-get install gnome-do gnome-do-plugins

GNOME Do is plugin based, allowing it to be easily extended to handle new items and actions. This package contains a core set of items and actions.

Rhythmbox support: Control playback, browse your music library, or search by artist or album. Do's themes: Classic, Mini, Glass, and the newly added Nouveau, and support gorgeous animations and drop-shadows.
