If you're a network administrator/truck driver, boy, have we got good news for you.
CareerBuilder.com just released its latest study and found the top 10 positions in which companies say they have too many jobs and not enough candidates.
The site polled more than 2,000 hiring managers and HR professionals, asking them which jobs were open for at least 12 weeks. CareerBuilder determined the 10 hardest-to-fill jobs, along with the number of those jobs that have been added from 2010-2013.
CareerBuilder reported the addition of 103,708 software developer positions in the three-year stretch, a growth rate of 11.2%, the second-highest in the top 10. The site said 48,709 new jobs were created for IT managers/network administrators, a growth rate of 7.5%.
Brent Rasmussen, president of CareerBuilder North America, cites a skills gap as the source of the problem:
"Although the recession created an abundant pool of readily-available, unemployed talent that still exists today, employers are struggling to find new employees for technology-related occupations, sales, healthcare and a variety of other areas."
