Xbox 720 hardware reveal dated. Microsoft says full lineup of games will wait for E3

We've been talking about Xbox 720 (or Durango, if you prefer) rumors since, well it seems like forever. Months, conservatively. Well we finally have some concrete information to share, though it's just a date: May 21st, 2013.

That's the day press has been invited to Microsoft's Redmond Campus for the "Xbox: A New Generation Revealed" event. It starts at 10 am PT and for those of us who can't be there in person, it'll be streaming on Xbox.com, broadcast on Spike TV (in the US and Canada), or you can just watch it unfold on your suddenly out-of-date Xbox 360.

Reading between the lines of a post on Xbox's Larry Hryb's Major Nelson blog (there's a mouthful) I'm expecting this first event to be focused on the hardware and on Xbox Live 'living room hub' features like streaming media and whatever else new they have up their sleeves. Hryb says on his blog that the event is to "share our vision for Xbox, and give you a real taste of the future." He then goes on to say that at E3 they will "showcase our full lineup of blockbuster games."

And that's it for details. Now we go back to waiting and speculating.

In order to help you fill out your 'rumor checklist' here's a partial list of some of the Xbox gossip I've spread recently. I'm looking forward to seeing how much of it is correct!

So who is excited for this reveal?
