NASA posts video chat with Captain Kirk and space station flight engineer

Here's something to do today if you're stuck on the East coast during this blizzard, or if you're just a fan of space and/or Star Trek.

NASA has posted a video chat that was held yesterday on the International Space Station between actor William Shatner (the original Captain Kirk) and Flight Engineer Chris Hadfield of the Canadian Space Agency. Since Shatner is also Canadian, the event was a proud day for our neighbors to the north (I'll bet you didn't even know that Canada had a space agency).

According to NASA, Hadfield "will become the first Canadian commander of the complex in mid-March, and is scheduled to return to Earth in mid-May."

Go Canada!
