Want to hear a real, live CIO debate enterprise mobility issues with top vendors in the space? You'll have a chance to do so Tuesday afternoon, when Citrix and Microsoft host a "live, uncensored and unplugged" online debate around enterprise mobility topics like MDM and BYOD, with a former big financial-institution CIO. The debate, free to attend with registration, starts at 2 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time, or 11 a.m. for those of us on the West Coast.
Though this site is sponsored by Citrix, I have no advance notice of what will happen at the debate, save for the scheduled topics, which include enterprise mobile device management, centralized management of desktops and applications, secure file sharing and data sync, and data security and secure access.
What I like about the format is the inclusion of John Diefendorf, principal of an independent consulting company and a former CIO for John Hancock financial services, among other posts. While it's always informative to listen to company subject-matter experts, I always find that having real users involved in such discussions brings a valuable real-world element to the proceedings. We'll recap the online discussion here, and if there are any questions you have beforehand send them to me at paul at mobileenterprise360.com and I'll do my best to forward them to the organizers.
