With less than two weeks before the Super Bowl, advertisers once again are hitting the Internet with some of their ad spots, hoping to get some viral attention from viewers in anticipation of their actual Super Bowl ad.
Volkswagen, which has been among the top advertisers scoring well with Super Bowl ads over the past few years, has published its teaser ad for the game. The ad features a bunch of Internet viral video subjects who either got angry or were crying (including the girl who was doing a dating video and kept crying over cats), and they all join in a big happy sing-along, thanks to reggae superstar Jimmy Cliff. I'm sorry if the song gets stuck in your head after you view the ad:
We also saw a teaser ad for Cars.com, which promises "more drama" in the car-buying experience (thankfully taken away by its website), at least for its Super Bowl ad:
Do these videos succeed in getting you interested in their ads for the game? Or is it so over-hyped now that you just would rather see their ad during the game? Let me know in the comments.
