5 technologies for Democrats and Republicans to fight over

The election may (almost) be over, but that’s no reason for Democrats and Republicans to stop fighting!

Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) vs. company-owned - Republicans are all about people being more self-sufficient, so it’s natural they’d be in favor of employees buying their own devices. Democrats, on the other hand, are not in favor of putting more of a financial burden on the working class. However, BYOD does let employees choose their own device and they are, after all, the pro-choice party. Seems like they could work this one out.

Print books vs. e-books - Print books are for Democrats, who love nothing more than snuggling up with a cup of organic, free-trade coffee and the latest New York Times bestseller. On the other hand, Republicans prefer the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of reading Bill O'Reilly e-books, although, to be fair, they do like the look of shelves full of books in their offices.

Open source vs. proprietary software - This one couldn’t be much simpler: Open source = socialism. Proprietary = capitalism. You can guess who’s on which side.

Of course, I may have made a few tiny, sweeping generalizations here and there. There may be outliers that don’t fit these profiles. The important thing is, though, that the arguing between the right and left will go on!

Now, if you haven’t already, go vote!
