This week Oprah Winfrey endorsed the Microsoft Surface tablet, adding it to her list of favorite things for 2012. Here’s how much she liked the Surface: it’s now hosting a primetime show on her cable channel.

Priceline.com announced on Thursday that it’s buying travel research site Kayak for $1.8 billion - which is the price they named when searching for a travel research site to buy. 

This week Google upgraded its search app for iOS to include voice search functionality. It’s not a serious challenge to Siri - at least that's what Siri said.

The reelection of President Obama this week means that NASA’s plans to send astronauts to Mars by the mid-2030s are still on track. The bad news is, to save money, there’ll be a layover on Venus.

A Michigan man is facing 45 years in prison after being charged on Thursday with selling $1.2 million worth of pirated versions of Microsoft Office 2003 and Windows XP. Authorities say he’d be facing life if he’d been caught selling Windows Vista.
