Mobile displays will get even thinner and more energy efficient

Video shows the latest in small screen technology

Check out video from DigInfo News showing off some of the newest mobile device display technologies from Japan Display, a joint venture between Sony, Toshiba and Hitachi.

The screens are even thinner than before, and more energy efficient, which means your phone or tablet's battery should last even longer in the future. The video also showcases some new display technology for your car.

While there are no commercial plans yet for these displays, it shouldn't be too long before some phone makers start using these.
