I'm still not 100 percent sure why zombies are so appealing these days, but apparently enough of the geek culture out there love zombies and "The Walking Dead" enough to make it a phenomenon. So at Comic-Con this year, we get things like this "Zombie Obstacle Course", in which folks from The Walking Dead set up a course at Petco Park (where the San Diego Padres play baseball) and had participants see if they could run through the course without getting "infected" by the zombies. It's similar to the Zombie 5K runs that are popping up around the country. Take a look at the Petco course, courtesy of the Inside the Magic blog.
I'm thinking that this will be franchised out soon - instead of taking the kids to Chuck E. Cheese, we're going to have them see if they can escape the zombies. I hope the pizza is better at the end.
