Google network admins wear blue short pants, according to this video

Animation shows how Gmail works, at least partially

A new video animation from Google aims to send you on a journey to its data center, showing how an email from Gmail gets delivered once you hit "Send". But along the way, it turns into a message about how green the company is, and you don't really see where the message goes after it gets to the data center.

Speaking of the data center, I think it's rather amusing that the Google network administrators are all wearing blue short pants and either headphones or cool hats. Is that why everyone wants to work at Google?

This video is part of Google's "Story of Send" campaign - where you can learn more about the company's green initiatives and renewable energy issues. You can also find out where the email goes.
