The bottom of the ocean is SO BORING

James Cameron releases footage from Mariana Trench deep dive; not much there

A few weeks ago we brought you the story of Oscar-winning director James Cameron's attempt to go to the bottom of Earth's deepest ocean - a few days ago he became the first person to explore the Mariana Trench. Today, some of the footage from his filming was revealed - take a look to see what the bottom of the ocean looks like (hint: it's dark)

Sadly, I was hoping that we would have seen more alien fish-like creatures, or a set of missing keys, or some other trash that had fallen way, way, way down the trench, but unfortunately it looked like the bottom of an ocean floor.
