Everyone's going Mega Millions crazy - if you live in one of those states where you can get a ticket - Friday's drawing of $500 million has LOTS of people lining up at the local convenience store to buy a ticket.
With all that media attention, we're seeing lots of videos explaining the probabilities of winning the jackpot, telling potential millionaires that they have a better chance of getting hit by lightning, winning an Academy Award, or becoming president. Here's another video from the Khan Academy that uses a colorful way of explaining the numbers:
Despite all of this overwhelming evidence that I'm not going to win, I still bought $10 worth of tickets. But of course, if I win the lottery, I'll continue to write this highly entertaining and award-winning blog, because I do it for you, dear readers.
