Watch Chinese workers build an iPad

Inside a Foxconn factory where iPads get built by Chinese migrant workers

The next time you watch a video where someone puts an iPad into a blender or callously destroys it, think back at these Chinese workers who make $14 a day building those iPads. The irony of this video is that it's a "positive" look at the company, compared with other Chinese factories where the work is harder and the pay is lower.

There are a lot of issues surrounding the construction of the iPhone and iPad, but I'm glad that light is being shone on these conditions - not so we can feel guilty about the devices we're purchasing, but in the hopes that the executives at these companies will do what they can to make sure that conditions improve for those workers.

OK, maybe a little guilt.
